Hello!
I'm a student living in Fallowfield, Manchester and I'm looking for a part time job at a yard and was wondering if anyone knew of any places looking for staff?
Just a bit about me..I'm 20 years old, have been around horses all my life and have lots of competitive experience and knowledge mainly within Pony Club and British Showjumping. I am confident with young or challenging horses and am a competent rider. I have worked for the past two summers at a horse riding camp in America, looking after 18 horses and teaching lessons to a variety of abilities. No current coaching qualifications yet but that is something I'm keen to work towards. I'm also Vice Captain of my university equestrian team, winning individually at all of our BUCS league competitions last year and qualifying for the regional championships.
I've had my own horses and ponies since I was 8 years old and when I was 12 I started competing at BSJA shows on the 138cm circuit.
My current horse is a 16.1hh WB X TB Gelding who lives at home in Nottingham (though I think my mum has taken a shine to him and he is now more her horse!)
I'm not fussy about the work, whether it be at a riding school, a private livery yard, working as a groom at shows or just helping out an individual! I'm only available part time because of my studies however I'm free evenings and weekends and I have my own transport so if anyone knows anything available around a 25/30 minute drive from the city centre please please please let me know!
