I'm *hopefully* going to RAC in October and will be taking my horse down with me. Just trying to get some ideas for yards so that I can sort out somewhere for him sooner rather than later as worried they might all fill up nearer the start of term!
Basically I'm looking for somewhere with a decent school, pref 20 x 60, jumps and good hacking. A walker would be a massive bonus but isn't the end of the world by any means if not. I will be looking for DIY initially. Any ideas would be fab, or pm me if you don't want to post on here. Thank you :)

Closest is the Old kennels, expensive DIY, customer service thin on the ground, but large school and a lunge pen, absolutly unsurpassed hacking in the park (only 8-5 though). No walker or lights.

Fosshill Farm is RAC farm with DIY on it, brilliant hacking on field boundries and also into the park. Larger yard than above. Kate who runs it is smashing, straight up and friendly, all yards need someone like her! No school currently but planning is in for one now and as soon as it is given I know they are v keen to get it in asap, there will be lights too. There is also a stick and ball area which you can school on, a canter track too. Cheaper than above, but it is a small drive from ciren and RAC.

If you can stretch to part livery then Kemble farms is close too, and have everything you'd need along with the walker. It is the closest yard to the RAC with a walker afaik. Know someone who was there for a summer and she enjoyed it.

Plummers is another yard, in the siddington area of ciren, reasonable hacking (not bad by any means, but compared to yards on the park it isn't that good, you can hack around the p-t-p course which gives some decent off road hacking), school is decent, plenty of different stables and turnout. Don't think they have a walker. Pub at the end of their drive - v convenient lol!

There is corner park farm sapperton way, woodchip school but good hacking as on the park too. Wouldn't be my first choice tbh.

There is alot of choice part livery:

Jenna Jewitt has one locally, seems a lovely set up.

Top barn has opened relatively recently, not bad at all.

Greenhill equitation - barge pole really!

Ampney down has a DIY part and also a part livery part (corinium livery is the part and full sedtion). They have xc fences and smashing hacking. Schools too. No idea what the liverys are like as I don't know anyone who has stabled there.

hth, shout if I can help any more!

I live near Cirencester :) I've heard good things about Park Corner Farm in Sapperton - some friends kept their ponies there.

Wherever you get, just try to get somewhere that you can ride into straight into the park, the riding in there is fantastic. Some of my happiest memories are off cantering around the rides and popping over logs.

Starzaan - Having had a good old facebook stalk I am now drooling over your absolutely gorgeous yard! Whether or not I am able to stretch to Part livery will depend on how generous daddy is feeling and the cost of it. Do you know about how far you are from college?

Hurrah! We're about ten to fifteen minutes away - and it's a nice easy drive, avoiding all the arse end of Cirencester roundabouts!

And I make nice cake. You should definitely come for the cake. (Am I doing a good enough job of selling myself yet?!)

ETA - the estate backs on to Ciren park, so hacking is literally over thousands of acres of private estates.

Haha! I can definitely talk if there is cake involved ;) I will be coming down in the next few weeks to have a look at yards and things, my boyfriend has got his horses at Chedworth but I don't think I particularly want mine in the same place!

Well, we're MUCH nearer than Chedworth, and I make better cake than the farm shop there...so you should definitely come to me!
