Hello

I'm looking at buying a horse soon and haven't been in Leeds very long. I currently live in moortown and I am looking for a yard which is ideally part livery but if not diy is fine too.
I don't drive so would need to get there by walking/bike or public transport. I've heard of one stables in adel but I'm not sure if it's still open?
Any help or advice would be amazing!
Thanks so much

The one on the A61 Leeds-Harrogate road called Wikefield farm (I think! If not someone please correct me) has a bus stop right outside it. It would also be doable on a bike, although the road is busy with fast traffic and not very cyclist-friendly.

The no 36 bus goes past there although that's limited stop so it might not stop there - and the no 36 goes through Moortown, as will many of the other bus services from Leeds to Harewood/Harrogate.

I think it's DIY, has an indoor, and I think the hacking is good as you can go on the Harewood estate so no roadwork - but not sure on any of that, best check yourself.

There was a small riding school/livery yard on the ring road near Sainsbury's, but I've forgotten the name of it, sorry - no longer in that area though do drive past Wikefield regularly and that bus stop is definitely there.

Good luck, and look forward to hearing your update :)
