as per title really. Only jumped outdoor BSJA at Limes Farm, Felbridge, GBEC , Ardingly.. I think. Would like to know what Yateley is like please??
And what is Royal Leisure like outdoors?
Thanks!

In a word....BASIC! - its in the middle of a housing estate on a bit of land, ground is ok, parking good, but essentially warm up is (or was last year) on patch of grass, as are rings.....

It may have changed tho! - it is fine if you want to go and qualify they seem to get thro the classes ok.

as marsden said its pretty basic and first you have to find it!! but we always go as outdoor jumping on grass, sandy footing so nearly always runs as doesnt get waterlogged and good practise for eventers! Royal leisure outdoors has a good arena but the working in is a bit ropey in the wet, though you can usually use the indoor warm up as well though you are a bit far from the ring to keep track of the class.

Royal Leisure also has a large new sand / rubber outdoor arena for early / late season jumping outdoors.

Where's GBEC by the way !?

Ah thank you, the sandyness sounds good-shoudnt get too rock hard then. Great Bookham Equestrian Centre, its run by the woman who organises BSJA at merrist wood, she normally does a two day BSJA show, probably september time? Also Pacasham in Leatherhead should be doing a two day show pretty damn soon.

Yateley is very basic, and it is about an hour and twenty away from us (one of the closest in the summer!) but you can always be sure the going will be really good and not rock hard. I have an issue with hard ground as my horse is very heavy and feels hard ground badly.

It is really good for young horses as the ring is really quiet with no distractions- I love it for the first time outside of the year.

Hope this helps
