So, now I have arrived at work, I can tell you all about it!!
it was our first comp, so I was very nervous, but also very excited! we got there about 9.10 to walk the course. There were a few bits I was getting confused about, so walked round it with my instructor. he backstepped for me for the first go round, which was a practice round, which we went clear!!
The 2nd and 3rd round was with OH as groom, the 2nd round we knocked one ball off, and went straight past one of the obstacles!! Got to the water, swore at myself, and at OH, had to turn round, go through the obsatacle, which we still made a bit of a hash of, then carry on!! So was quite frustrated with myself, but hey ho!! the 3rd round went brilliantly, didnt knock any balls off, went through all the obstacles, and done some of it in canter!!
Came home with a green rosette, which was 4th!!! (okay, there was only 5 in our class, but it means there is lots of room for improvement!!!). I also came home with a humungous smile on my face!!!!!!
I am so pleased I have gone forward into driving, I am loving it!! OK, my back at the moment is not appriciating it, but the more I do it, the less it will hurt.....right???
Well, the good news is, the pain in my back only lasted 36 hours this time!! Last time we drove that course it was a good 72hrs before I could move normally!! So its got to be getting easier!!!
Hi Benson21, I've just caught up on your threads from the last couple of weeks as I wondered what you and Donovan had been up to. Somehow I've managed to miss each being posted
Just wanted to say well done on everything and that the bluebell wood pic is gorgeous And also glad that your back seems to be getting tougher!
