i dont know whether or not to enter the PN at keyso its in 3 weeks and even after her week off shes still pretty fit and is being ridden 6 days a week. its quite a way for me to travel but as i have missed so many so far this season i would like to give it a go.

however im a bit worried that the ground may be hard...im not sure what it is like there? but im thinking it would be nice ot get going and all the top riders wont be there

anyone else going?

Well Ive entered the intro. The ground should be aerovated if hard, so should be Ok... Technically...

Have you been on the website? There is some quite good pictures of the course, if you want a better idea.

yeh i have had a look..they r qute old pics arent they? because i looked on there ages ago(im talkin a year or so) and they were exactly the same.
i also think the course looks very fair for a PN and doesnt look very big at all.
good news about the aerovated:)

I have no idea whether they are old or not TBH! I dont do eventing, Im only going for a play!

The course does like quite straightforward though - hence the reason Im going!

And definitly good news about the ground, Ill be miffed if its bad, I picked the event specifically as it said they'd aerovate; my horse had 9 months off last year with concussion injuries so Im now the most paranoid person in the world!

It may not bee to bad, I believe more rain is forecast before then.

the SJ is on a surface, they do their best with the XC, some fences have the old arena surface spread as take off and landings.

The ground is clay there though so they are limited as to what they can do.

hmmmm i dont know now....it may be worth going as it looks like a fairly straightfoward and small course..so would be nice for a 1st run.

at least if the sj is on a surface it wont be jamming on hard ground in that phase.

i am quite tempted..i guess i could always decide not to run xc if its that bad...and it could well rain (hopefully) between now and then.

yes i think thats what il do!! weven just the dressage and show jumping will be good practice if nothing else!!
i think i will enter round.
would be fantastic if we had a fair bt of rain though-maybe the april showers will come along

I'll be sitting in the sidelines somewhere helping!!!! Cant compete my boy that weekend as he wont be fit enough and OH'd company is doing the medical cover, so at least if you fall off you'll be well cared for!!!

Ground there wasn't too bad today from I saw!

Ground is dreadful. They do their best, but unless we get some rain it will be rock hard (and if we get too much rain it will be bottomless).

However the XC course is short, straightforward and flat. Easy to get the time, no need to race around.

They have done the SJ on the big outdoor arena in the past. Lovely but spooky so might be worth a practice run if your horse is that way inclined.

thanksyou everyone. i ahev entered and shall have to pray for rain.
sillymare...hopefully she wont be too spooky unfortunatly wont be able to make a practice run there as its so far away for a one off!!:)

Ground will be Equivated, we now have very good grass cover, and will also be sanding if this dry weather continues

The SJ is on all weather so no problems there. Still able to take entries at all levels (ballot avoided) so tickets are OK
