i cant believe how lucky i am - i met a guy last year - to cut a long story short - he lived 140miles away and at new year - moved down here to be with me. as he isnt driving at the moment, i take him too and from work - on the way home at night i normally call at yard - bring horses in and feed them and he is with me and gets out the car and helps, hes been issued with some mucker boots he seems to like wearing.
so i have been saying for a while why dont you try riding? he has only ever ridden a beach donkey as a child and before meeting me - never been near a horse. i was riding my arabXhann a few weeks ago and he was tempted to get on but saw my horse buck a few time sgoing into canter so changed his mind! but yesterday - we planned he was going to have a go on my aged Welsh section D mare. i thought i would try my luck and have a pair of long mountain horse riding boots so i threw them in the car. when we got to the yard, he was there straight away putting muckers on.... i just said - 'o i brought some riding boots down that are way too big for me (hey - but they were a bargin in the Robbies sale a few years bac!!!) so why dont you try them on'.... i expected him to say no way - but he did!!! and he even managed to squeeze in them! (normally a size 11 but the boots are a 9!)
i must admit he looked HOT - i dont normally go for horsey guys much but he had combats on, with brown long boots - kinda looked like a member of the cavalry mmmmmm... anyway - i rode her 1st to burn off some of her energy, then he got on - after a while - he was trotting around off the lead! he seems a natural with horses which is so good - i think! just hope he doesnt steal my hobby! i just am amazed more so that i got him in riding boots.....!
