Sorry for excitement but finally got a vetting organised. After trying to get someone (anyone) to come out to Emley...hadn't realised everyone considered it the back of beyond...finally found a vet who will come. Did want Hirds but unfortunately they can only do Wednesday and OH can't make it then which with the owner of the horse pregnant left the older/not ridden for years YO to do the deed...not a good idea! So Friday it is....fingers crossed.
