I'm back on Super!!! I really thought she was going to kill me as she hasn't been ridden in 9 months. My legs were shaking as I got on her (and sat on her!). I put a stirrup strap around her neck, just incase there was problems with the brakes, but I didn't have to use it
I wasn't looking for anything from her today other than to just accept me back in the saddle
She was super and apart from being twice as wide, she was fine, she didn't, buck, rear, skip, hop, or anything, it was like I only rode her yesterday
Well that's the Irish Draughts for you!!
I really should be shot, but I couldn't help but have a wee canter (I only did a lap!)
As she doesn't have shoes yet, I'm going to hack her around the fields tomorrow, it will give us a chance to explore the new yard.
Considering I didn't lunge her before hand and just tacked her up and got up on her, she was very good. Here's some photo - a huge thanks to CasCas for helping me today and taking the photos
Glad to be in the saddle again
- I am aware one of my stirrups is longer! Please excuse what I'm wearing - it's about as flattering as a fat block in a thong!!

A little trot

Trotting on the buckle, just to help her relax.

She was getting a bit fast in the trot, so started stroking her neck which helps slow her down

Pleae, forgive me, it's been 9 months and I miss riding her and I couldn't resist a canter

Thanks for looking and thanks again to CasCas
