Well took My son T and the pony at our livery yard that I have been working with (owners take very little interest , possibly come up once a month to see her) , to a show today
Well to put it mildly it was the worst organised show EVER !
Arrived at 2.15, class wasnt to start until 3pm ....Hubbie had went on ahead so was there earlier, he then advised us that the class was starting in 5 mins , so rushed to get pony sorted and went to the ring only to be told that class wasnt going to start for another half hr or so, so went back put pony in box again , went to move the car and on the way there, A lady that i had been talking to previously was saying that the class was to start in 2 mins , so rushed up like a bloody blue arsed fly and got pony out of box and away we went into the ring.
In the ring 2 mins when a dun pony outside the ring reared up on a little girl aged 6/7 and was dragged until eventually little girl got loose, pony was young and according to the owners was a scared of coats.. later found out from amanda that the little girl was taking off her coat when the pony bolted, knocking several people down including another few kids and knocking a dog out clean cold
.
Owner of the pony seemed undeterred and said " well no one was hurt " :S and continued to bring the pony in again to everyones amazement she went to put the child who was screaming and in shock on board the pony again, when the judge told her to take the pony out .
Anyways class went on and T came second in the lead rein
, pony has never been to a show and she didnt put a foot wrong .
She looked really well if i dont say so myself
