Last October my mare was diagnosed with injuries to her Deep digital flexor tendons and had significant Navicular changes in both front feet. Had MRI and was basically told it was highly unlikely she would ever be ridden again.

I've went down the route of box rest, elevated heartbars and steroid injections (I know everyone has their own opinions 😊) but yesterday after not seeing a XC fence in over a year, I took her to a charity ride and she jumped everything in sight without even a thought 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

At vets today for her six month check up and he's happy, saying "if you were going to break her, yesterday would have been the time".

I know there's every chance she could go lame again, but for the moment, I can finally breath and be happy just riding her 😊😊

Well done. You have to eventually 'kick on' and take the gamble after any injury, and its worked in your favour. Just make sure you bandage her well and have an instant ice pack in the car when you go to fun rides to put on her afterwards.
