Hi i was thinking about taking my youngster to the north of the border foal and youngstock show, could anyone tell me what is involved in this, i am use to showing inhand but in the rules it says each competitor will enter individual and be shown loose, does this mean he wont be trotted inhand or just presented then let loose? please help i am confused!!

since i am going i can give you some information. you need to be in whites or you wont be able to show.
the youngsters are shown individualin a cage ( high fenced area) they are walked in hand then presented to judge for conformation inspection etc then the are troted in hand the let loose in the cage for the youngster to be walked troted and cantered loosly and this is how they are judged.

That is great thanks just wanted to know as my youngster does not like the trotting in hand when in the ring sometime is too distracted, he does it at home which is the frustrating part but i think he will go lovely when loose. does the handler stand at the side when the youngster is loose?
