no no its not just to look at things, its for long periods of time, like walking from one side of the field to me for his feed and has his head to the floor all the way to the food... its not my colt, he is where i work but i am just finding out if anyone has heard of this to tell the owner and help her find the problem
Could he have some kind of pollen allergy or discomfort somwhere in his head?
My horse started headshaking temporarily a couple of years ago as a side effect of another problem, and one of the things he was doing at the time was as you describe.
However, wobblers and other problems/pain with head and neck lead to this presetation, so it might be worth getting the vet out to check to try to identify if there is any areas of pain, or a chyropracter (sp?!) if you prefer those....
My NF x does this alot . He's a really bad headshaker and when it gets too much for him he runs hos nose along the floor . It could be a sign of early headshaking.
other than that I can't help you Sorry.
