Hello,
My yearling has an abscess poor lad found today, he is being very good about it but I am wondering if there is any chance my duct tape and vet wrap boot will still be on this morning, vet has recommended he stays out (which I was glad about really didn't want to box rest the wee man) and of course movement is best to get it out, anyway my question is there a boot people would recommend over a duct tape boot if I need to go that way? Just with his age I have images of him gnawing it off bless him!!!

You can get plastic boots that cable tie over the poultice and hoof. I can't for the life of me remember what they are called though....

Seems they aren't released until July - new product. Sorry :(

Ah bummer! No matter will add to bookmark and get one when they come out as could be useful for then. Someone said to me about the davis boot but they are a swine to get on/off from experience and as good as the baby is (terribly proud moment when vet says normally she has to sedate them) he has his limits and its a hind...

What about the velcro type that I linked to? They are £20 though...

Yes they would do the job too, the plastic things look so much more robust though... This yearling likes to bust my shetland out of his belly flap (takes it off his rug...) so could see him undoing it... Will see if local place has them if not will order them! :)

The plastic ones do look like a good idea don't they?
