Horse is currently on bute and antibiotics (3 days into course, having to syringe it into him as he won't eat it in feed) due to massively swollen very hot right hind and similarly swollen and warm (but not quite as big) left hind, with raised body temp. As of now his Temp is down, left hind almost normal, right hind still a little swollen and warm but half the size it was, horse isn't lame in walk and is back to normal self so on the right track I hope! My question is he now has thick yellow nasal discharge (looks like custard!) it doesn't smell offensive, and it's not dripping out but gets fired out in blobs when he sneezes, which he is doing a little more often than normal, but it is a new 'thing'. I'm not unduly worried just curious why this might be and I will of course get back to vet if anything worsens. Any ideas appreciated!
