Yellow Tails!!!

Has anyone got any ideas on how to get a yellow tail looking white again? Is it possible to do it without bathing it because it is quite cold at the moment!
Can anyone also reccomend any products to help?????

Have you not got access to warm water? If he's rugged up while you're washing it I can't see it being a problem particularly if you use warm water on dock area.

You can buy horse shampoo specifically for greys and its purple which neutralises the yellowness. You can also go to your local old lady hair salon and ask for the stuff they use for old ladies hair (can't remember what its called!) that works too.
I used to compete a grey horse and used both of the above and the results were great.
 
Try peroxide - just put it on the tail and leave for 5-20mins then wash well and condition works a treat. There are lots of products as well quicsilver is the best - or the diamond white puprle shampoo.
 
My mare has a pearl white tail in the summer. I console myself with looking at pics of this beautiful tail in the summer, because atm - it is brown. It was stiff with poo this morning!

Sadly, and I sympathise here, not letting it get dirty and frequent washes with warm water is the only answer. Star's tail lives in plaits to keep the wee and poo out of it, andreally it should be bagged! Washing in cold water 'sets' the stain - I learned this the hard way.

Cowboy Magic do a yellow stain removing shampoo. It starts out dark blue, and slowly turns green as it lifts the yellow out.

It's very very purple and concentrated.

Finally - Tresemme - the one which removes 'daily grime and build-up'.

Finally, I have a friend who is a hairdresser, and she's going to try lifting the yellow out with hairdressers bleach at Easter
