Firstly, thank you to all those of you who have been so supportive while Genie's been unwell. The vibes (touch wood) have worked! In the last few weeks we have been building up the amount of turnout time, and today she's on 6 1/2 hours - so much better than none! She's coped really well but is definately happier now she's going out.
So... yesterday, after over 2 months, Genie got to go out with her herd! She's been in a private paddock while we've built her up to a level where hopefully she will be caught (she can be a b*gger for it at times) and yesterday was the day!
She was really good, and the group accepted her back almost immediately. There was only one who tried to chase her off but after she'd kicked out at him a few times he took the hint. She's always been the dominant mare in the group and they already seem to be a lot more settled which is wonderful.
Oh and Titchy-who-is-not-so-titchy-anymore says hi!
Thank you once again everyone for your support!!!
