Sorry I know this has been done to death.. but Im stuck in a bit of wonder as to what I should be feeding my TB... the others all seem fit, healthy and blooming.. Its just my Tb I cant get his feed right
He's healthy as in his coat is glossy and shiny and hooves are better than ever! He's not what I call skinny, but could do with a little extra sspice. He's not being worked at the moment however am looking to start bringing him back into work once this snows melted and from behind you can really tell he's lacking muscle.
He's feed regime is:
Half scoop c&c
half scoop alfalfa
1/4 scoop EquiJewel
and just put him on barley rings about 1/4 scoop (im not sure what effect it will have on his temperament so starting off slowly with it)
Linseed oil and garlic granules.
The above is what he gets per feed; he gets am and pm feeds.
He's then on adlib haylage.
Think I could be doing better or could cut out somethng and replace with something else?? It sounds tight but if I can find a feed combination that would also cut costs a bit that would be great, however thats the least important thing really, Id rather have him looking chubby than worry about saving a few pence...
Thank you for any suggestions.
