YEY!!! SORTED OUT HER MOUTHING PROBLEMS, UNHAPPY RIDDEN AND WEIGHT!!

Ok, so had the vet out today- he said her weight is spot on... all she needs now is the correct muscling!

Also, the snatching of the reins/unhappy when being tacked up is because she has a HUGE ulcer just in the corner of her mouth so no riding and 10 days of Bonjela should sort that out- also just ordered her a Myler bit to stop any further rubbing hopefully!

Bonjella may not be a very good solution. As it works by chemically burning the nerve fibres to numb the pain. This in turn can prolong the ulcer - due to the constant burning of its surface. Im not sure what alternatives you could use for her, but maybe just letting it be would be a faster way of healing it? Glad you have found your solution!

It is very commonly advised, as obviously it solves the pain issue, but, as a dental student i have been told by my pharmacology tutor not to recommend it to patients with ulcers for the reason that it can prolong them - although makes them less painfull, so its a bit of a weigh up for the person using it really.
Lol at the Preparation-H!!!
