YIKES potential share horse/s

As some of you may have known i have been looking for a share horse for aaages but struggling due to not driving and not many round here. Well my bf knows a guy from his work whos daughter is some kind of champion under 16 dressage rider and has several nice horses and i've been offered the 'rubbishy one' which still looks lovely to ride

We've been trying to organise it for WEEKS and i was starting to think it was never going to happen so started looking for something else but my bf has just spoken to him (dont see each other much due to the guy working nights and my bf working days) and it looks like i might be going up this week.

Now the problem: I haven't had much chance of riding recently and i'm not exactly the tidiest rider anymore. My legs are a bit wobbly and my position has suffered. Also some woman with a 10k show horse wants to speak to me (from same yard as other horse) to see if i can ride it... ERM help! i really would obviously love this chance but what if i break it somehow?! is this woman daft, letting a stranger ride her posh horse.

All ive ridden for last 2/3 years is riding school horses and the odd plod offered by friends, mainly a shire.

Before i has surgery etc when i was 17 i rode complete nutters and 2 amazing horses which were wasted just the odd ride or hack before me. So i know within a couple of weeks back riding most days i will get my seat back (i hope!) but god im a nervous wreck!

(also possibility of helping break one which ive never done before, although have ridden shortly after breaking)

YIKES help- what do i say yes to or no to? i dont want to completely lose this chance but dont want to jump straight in and C*ck it up!

Any advice?

Lucky you! Horses are like buses- you wait for ages for one to turn up and then several come at once! Try them all if you are confident then you can choose where you want to help. Explain to the owners you are a bit rusty/ nervous but are keen to learn and be honest with them about your capabilities. Good luck!

Thanks Fox00 I will be honest with them, and the origional owner knows i haven't had much to ride in a couple of years but knows what i could do before i had to give it up for 12 months after surgery. Just worried about showing myself up and having those snotty comments that someone is always waiting to throw at anyone who's not in their 'class' of riding... I dont know what they're expecting if i'm getting offers like this but i think they might be faced with innitial dissapointment.
