Driving home from work, along a narrow 60mph country road, I saw a white car parked at the side of the road (but still in the road), no hazards or anything. I wondered what they could be doing, so I slowed (and it was a blind bend, who knows what could be coming!). I saw a family with small children had got out of their car and were stroking a horse over the fence :O :O

I love horses (duh) but I would never put myself, my family and others in so much danger just to pat one!! It's a fast road and people often speed and they wouldn't have a lot of time to see the car and if they did, what if something else was coming?

I wanted to stop and tell them, but by the time that thought had hit me, I was long gone.

I hope nothing bad happens :(

In the Highlands and the Lake District, it's a tourist pasttime to park in awkward places, the windier the road the better, in order to take pictures of mountains, Herdwick sheep, and fluffy Highland coos. If you drive in these places frequently, you get accustomed to looking out for these eejits.
