YM and haylage- what can I do?

In my livery contract i get two bales of equilage a week- however in the last couple of weeks I have been getting punctured bags which I refuse to feed, and it clearly states on the bag that it has to be used in 7 days so as I don't know when the bag was punctured it wouldbe unwise to feed it. YM however will not exchange it, he says noone else worries and still feeds it but I don't want to take that risk. Also assuming he won't take it back because it gets damage in his storage from being in a not vermin proof shelter so he won't be able to get refunded from supplier. What can I do and where do I stand. I see it as being supplied with faulty goods, if I bought it in a shop I wouldn't even walk out the door with it! Also say you leave the yard before your notice can you ask to be given your full entitlement of haylage and shavings to the point you paid till? Thank in advance for your opinions
 
Im sure you can leave and still get your entitlement, after you will have paid for it, you are just taking the horse away early.

Have you told YM that you are thinking of leaving over it?
 
thats not good enough, I would ask to either buy my own or tell her that you are not prepared to risk feeding possibly old and fermented haylage. I bay large industrial type bales, but they feed about 4 horses easily for a week, however, when I had more delivered I noticed my last one had a hole in it, whatever size, the chap had no quibbles taking it back.

Any supplier would be fine at haylage going back as long as damage not done in transit to the yard or at yard, YO needs kick up the bum!

Or move and feed decent stuff with dcent YO.
 
Well I am taking the horse back home and had already handed in notice back in october but notice is a term. Were not on good terms with non horsey YM following several disagreements on the management of my horse at start of term, but they now seem to be getting away with totally ripping me off by giving me the substandard rubbish! grr
