Happy New Year and all that.

As most chaps will know, shopping for men's breeches can be frustrating, especially if you're looking for something under £150 that ARE NOT black, white, beige navy or baggy. After searching the WWW for 90 minutes these are at the top of my list: Kramer Breeches

Before I commit, I just wondered whether anyone out there has tried this brand and if so what do you think of them? I'd also appreciate any recommendations for men's thermal breeches (preferably stretchy and not too baggy).

Finally, if any of you blokes are sick of looking for affordable riding boots too I can highly recommend these: Brogini. I'm on my 3rd pair. They're part leather and part synthetic, really smart and under 80 quid!

I'm not a man so can't help with the exact breeches you've linked too but do really like my Kramer riding tights. V.good quality & fit for a v.reasonable price I found!
 
Looked at the Kramer website - and would be suspicious as to whether these are really a mens cut (as they show women's size equivalent) in the description.
 
Hubby lives in Mark Todd or Cavallo. He doesn’t like silicone seat as it’s too hot in summer and both of these brands you can get breeches that plain fabric in the seat.

He is in his breeches 6 days a week and both of these brands last.
 
I have Équilibre breeches from Kramer. Within a very, very short space of time, less than a day just sitting watching tv and wearing them around the house, the fabric frayed so badly they looked years old. I emailed them expecting an apology and the offer of a refund or an exchange, but was told they have a specific policy not to allow returns for poor quality fabric. I’m still amazed how they’ve managed to manufacture such terrible quality. I have breeches from Temu that still look like new after months of wear. Kramer know exactly what they’re selling which is why they have that refund clause.

Long story short, worst quality clothes, let alone breeches, that I’ve ever bought. Kramer know this, won’t refund and don’t care.

Eta. Ive also bought a turn out rug from them that ripped on day one, and the buckles rusted after being worn no more than 6 times. Pony was turned out alone in a post and rail paddock. I bought boots that lasted 3 months before the soles came away, ripping the foot of the boots so they couldn’t be repaired.

I am not a bloke, but I have found that hiking/climbing leggings make great riding trousers. They hold up to weather and dry quickly when they get wet, and they are very comfortable. I don't know, but you might be able to find those for men?

I use Alpkit a lot.
 
I have Cavallo (bought on sale) and Tredstep breeches and Horze jods. I'd buy more Cavallos again in a second.

For boots I have Harry Hall Edlington long boots (not for regular wear I've found - the inside wears out, but they are still usable) and no-name half chaps and Mountain Horse half chaps.

I've got thermal breeches and a couple of coats from Kramer, they are well used and well over 5 years old and are fantastic. I've also got a lot of their t shirts/ technical fabric tops, and again, they're brilliant.

Quite possible the quality has declined recently if your purchases were five years ago. Mine were bought 6 months ago. Never again.
 
My personal favourite are the Equetech denim breeches, in cooler weather I wear a pair of thermal running tights underneath.
When it gets really cold I just wear moleskin trousers with extra layers underneath.
