Hi

if you dont mind me asking what do you pay on your business rates , and what size is your yard , there working mine out at the mo and im wondering what its likely to be
i have 9 boxes , outdoor school
it seems to be worked out per m2 , im very confused to be honest

any help would be great thanks

Well the key thing is whereabouts in the country are you. Then it is worked out on a standard rate - that is then discounted depending on what facilities you have - ours work out at about £30 a month and we have 16 stables, plus a floodlit outdoor school plus 35 acres. we get a discount as we are in a very rural area.

Our total Busines rates should be about £1400 before the discounts.

If you speak to teh council - they will come out and have a look. Our ratings officer was really helpful and extremely pleasant. He was pleased we had called them in and were getting a valuation up front which I think worked in our favour as he bent over backwards to help us
