Bit of a pointless post really but I am curious.

We've just had a new Sushi bar open up in our local shopping centre and I have to walk past it twice a day to cash cheques in our cashiers office for my job.

Walking past today I glanced over at the counter and saw a glass jar at every station the contents were a pale pink colour.

Anyone know what this is as I am intrigued (and as you probably can tell very bored on a Friday afternoon at work too!)

its ginger! lol yo sushi is fab! xx

Ahh I see ginger. How weird.

I love sushi but have never had it from a conveyor belt. LOL. Normally buy in when its reduced in Tescos! I love soy sauce too, and the smell of soy sauce when I walk past is really tempting but £1.70 appears to be the cheapest dish and wouldn't fill a hamster!

But I will try it one day.....

Yo Sushi isn't as yummy as homemade sushi or stuff from a proper independenty sushi bar but still really tasty! I thought you would've seen the ginger from the Tesco stuff?

If you go on Mondays they have a thing called 'Blue Monday' where almost everything is the price of the blue dish, which is about 2.50. If you go with someone else you can have a really filling meal for pretty cheap. Also, make them get you tap water rather than the 'tap water' at the tables, they charge you for that!

Or make your own, you can get all the stuff from the supermarket!

(Embarrassingly cheapo-studenty post!)

The ginger is pickled so it goes pink when that happens.

Yo sushi is v yummy and nothing like supermarket sushi. life is too short to make it at home. Monday very good with the offer, very busy too so you might have to queue but it will be super fresh!

I love it! expensive habit but I dont drink or smoke so hey!

Maybe sure you try the tamari nigri ( or something), its a yellow sweet omlette thing on rice and with some soy it is just the heavenliest. It is cheap too!

They do takaway boxes so you could try that first, it will spoil you for supermarket dried up rubbish tho!

I LOVE sushi... Yo! Sushi is ok but then they don't do proper raw stuff which I just can't enough of.

I love Yo Sushi too :D I could eat everything off the menu!

I find it very reasonable, never spent more than £22 when I've been and I eat a lot :D

Would never bother making anything like that at home, going out to eat is a real treat

I love going to K10 in the City (London), just over the road from work. Love the conveyor belt thing! Always want everything though so usually a dear do.

My favourite!

And although not nearly as good as yo, as supermarket sushi goes the boots one in the meal deal is the best.

And the one in Waterloo where you make your own box up is really good and not too pricey, can't remember what it's called though.
