Has anyone gone to his clinics or trained with him? What did you think of him? As he is going to have a clinic in Castle Leslie and I was thinking of going if it was worth the drive

I cannot rate him highly enough

Well he trains our riders so I would of thought he was good.

I did a group training session with him years ago, he was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I found it well worth doing.

It was on the Castle Leslie Website (in Co. Monaghan over here), they spent €10 million upgrading the equestrian facilities, and their new cross country fences have been built by the Willis Bros. (who are Badminton Course Designers), Carl Hester and Ian Stark are having clinics there too, and the Funnells are doing a demo at the end of this year

You could always ring up/e-mail major equestrian centres to ask what clinics they are having, I came across the Castle Leslie Clinics by absolute chance!

Saw him at Merrist Wood ........last month very interesting worked with 5 different riders!

I did a training day with him about 2 years ago- it was fab- probabaly the best XC and SJ lesson I have ever had. If you have the opportunity I would definately go for it

I know a former racehorse trainer who sent at least one horse to him and it improved the horse a great deal. I also know he is quite highly rated in the racehorse community and his name pops up quite a lot particularly in national hunt training and improving their jumping technique.

I had a private session with him back in 2000 when I was consistently getting cricket scores during the SJ phase of eventing. First event following the session we went clear. Nuff said.

I had several jumping clinics with him a few years back - he was excellent and really sorted out the s/j problems I was having. Very positive and gives lots of things to practice to ensure that you don't go back to bad habits again. I was consistently getting at least one stop s/j, and after my first lesson, won my next two classes!
