yogutr for horses!

I know a lady who feeds it to her pony who crib bites because research has suggested that cribbing is a way to try and relieve indigestion.

Never fed yoghurt; just a probiotic supplement because my mare has a poor digestion and is easily upset in her gut.

Yep, I have fed tescos natural yoghurt when horse has been wormed or on antibiotics.

One large pot lasts about 3 feeds.

I was told by a nutritionalist that you would need to feed approx 2 buckets full to have an effect on a horse!
But there are loads of prebiotics & probiotic supplements available now adays. Baileys Horse feeds do a good one you can feed long term if necessary.

My vet recommended feeding natural yoghurt to my horse who has had a lot of antibiotics lately. Though he hated it and refused to eat it. I might try probiotic supplements in future.
