York Sales today: what's the story behind...

The breeder is giving up and has been known to not respond to people who enquire about their ponies so I guess the easiest way to sell them all is through the sale then you don't have to answer peoples questions and talk to people you don't want to.

Looking at the prices they all went for decent money. The wee Parlington stallion went for just shy of £2k which is good money. But then he is a good quality pony with good bloodlines.

Thanks for that - I didn't know the results were up, but would have had to steel myself to look!

It sounds as though the breeder must be having personal problems. Glad all the ponies got a decent price which hopefully means they will have found decent homes.

Thankfully his breeder managed to get him home, which I think she will be very pleased about. He is full brother to my mini.

I like the Parlington ponies, they are proper wee ponies not like some mini's you get these days.

I don't think anything went for under £180. A few went to known dealers/meat men but at those prices I doubt they will be going for meat.
