Sorry if this has already been done, but we see a hell of a lot of posts saying about bad YO's/YM's - I thought I'd start one about good YO's/YM's.

My YM is perfect. She and I have always got on, she is the complete mirror image of me,we have our bad days,we have our good days - we have days where we chat and have a laugh and we have days when we potter in comfortable silence.

She is always helpful, always offering advice if needed and never forcing it if its not wanted. She is the only person I completely trust with the care of my horse.

She cultivates a 'no-nonsense' yard, where so far(in the 21/2 years I have been there altogether) never have had to put up with bitchy arguments/theft/bad people.

The yard is managed and maintained beautifully. I am starting to have concerns over my boys weight and I know I can chat to her about whats best for him and she'll juggle me round and try and get him somewhere where he can eat less

She'll give us lifts places, help us with our competitions stuff, lend us things, give us tips...
All in all she's a thoroughly good egg! If she reads this she'll kill me

Please add praise for your good ones!!!

My yard is not perfect but I've been there over 7 years so something must be right

Very laid back
Not too many people, friendly enviroment
No kids (not that I don't like them but you know what I mean)
Reasonable price
Free parking for horseboxes etc
Free free range eggs

Peacefull place
CCTV
outdoor school (small, never levelled and slap bang next to the other horse fields) but better than nothing

Stables (old farm yard type, some news ones) your free to paint and tart them up to how you like.... as long as its not pink

Don't get me wrong there is a few other livery yards (one winning the title 'livery yard of the year' just up the road but they all have their moans and the grass is not always greener on the otherside, as people have found out.
