Just been at a local jumping legue night as new to the area to have a nosy.There were loads of bratty children and Adults swanning about the place with there fancy horses and swanky horse boxes. Had a bit of the green eyed monster moment, but after watching them sock the horse in the mouth and some really awful behaviour, (both human and equine) I'm glad I have my wee highland. Money clearly can't buy you talent. On a happier note there were some lovely riders treating their horse with respect which had some lovely rounds.

I know what you mean... i turn up on my little hairy cob and get all the looks off them. It's ok though because we usually beat them

My first pony was a Highland, and he could jump like a stag

Goodness me! No need to be envious. If you get a good highland who likes jumping (and never under estimate the jumping ability of any highland btw!!) you'll be onto a winner. They are careful and powerful jumpers who can turn on a sixpence.

They should be jealous I love a good highland! They are not cheap, at least down here they're not and are quite sought after. They can be very talented too.

I know what you mean about questionable displays of behaviour, cringe!

yep, love my highland
I also love that I can drop the reins and he will just stand sweetly by the trailer or in the line up. He is also very generous at helping you out when jumping and is careful as you say.

Here he is getting third place against the proper horses last weekend

and one of him in action in the summer.

Now you are asking, it was quite a few years ago Will see what I can come up with. He was a fantastic Dun colour and called Chocky still miss him, he taught me so very much bless him
