I have a pair of leather and neoprene riding gloves. When I took them off this morning I thought they smelt, so brought them home this evening for a wash. Put them into a little warm water and hand washing liquid, left to soak while I had a shower. When I went back to them I just reached into the basin, picked them up and squeezed... black dye went every where... up the wall, over the blinds, onto my clean cream shirt. Not just a little discoloured water but properly black inky.
But I had to finish washing and rinsing them, and by the time I had done, my hands are completely black and it won't wash off....
On the plus side, at least my hands look different to their normal grubby brown colour!
