You actually have to pick out your horses feet rather than just scrapping off the mud! :D

When did anyone else suddenly realise they had taken a big (Barefoot) step forwards? :D

*snort*! I know just what you mean! Not that I pick out feet much  :lazyowner:.

I guess mine was when I rode my TB around all the local rocky bridlepaths, and only afterwards remembered that I'd never done that before and had previously been freaking out about the stones! :D

I've just taken my sister's gelding, who was at Rockley last year, round several stony bridleways and never even thought twice about it, even though I used to swear he'd never be a rock crunching barefoot horse! I also took my older mare out for about 1 1/2 hours, in hand, over some incredibly stony ground and she didn't even blink. I love my barefoot ponies :D

When Shy canters non -stop round a stubble field for 40 minutes, and LOVED it., throwing in an unstoppable gallop on the way home... now his boots are off, and he's happy on the tarmac again....just everything at the moment :D

We've had a tough time with thrush, so the relief that he's comfortable and happy is amazing.
