was bringing them in for some grub last night and putting a headcollar on one, the other marched past me in the field, opened the gate with his teeth, crossed the yard and put himself away in his box...
maybe its time he came in

Absolutely agree! My boy has got to the stage where he canters to the gate when we start bringing them in, and then goes and puts himself in his box!

Lol our horses take themselves to their stables every morning, we just open the gate and they wander in!

i use to find it worked the other way too... as the weather gets milder, i'd stand and call from the gate and they wouldn't move an inch, stampede season over..
