We were still in the field at 12.00pm last night trying to get bales of hay in before the rain comes and you wake up a few hours later for work to find........no rain fell!! Argggggghh!
Oh well they are in (most of) and I feel like I have been run over having done it all with a bad back to begin with!

Ohh bless lol, yep I regulary frustrate my farmer husband with my insomnia and ohh but the hay! Come summer it is all I talk about, I panic for the whole time the hay is drying before it gets brought in. Luckily he hasnt threatened to leave me yet lol!

I think he also gets fed up with me moaning about our muddy field in winter and flies and weeds in summer, ohh he does well to put up with me...

Back to OP well your hay is now in and you are safe in that knowledge, well done! Mine comes in today/tomorrow fingers crossed on the weather as last year I lost 300 bales to unforcasted rain, thats living out in the middle of the ocean for you...

My OH Likes the horse but has no real experience. He booked a lesson with my trainer to learn how to Free School. Made a damn good job of it too. THought it woud help if he could go do something with Ponio if I was ever ill or needed a break. Now wans to learn how to double lunge and long rein.

I suspect in a year i will be saying mmmm I really need to buy my own horse.

He rumages amongst the carrots in a certain supermarket to find the best ones. He cant find any and then goes to another one on the way home to get some better ones - not for his tea, but for the horse.

He has no prior experience with horses or other animals, but when I am injured and out of action, he takes over the care of the horse, the cats, his work, himself and me without complaint.

At Christmas, he nipped out of work and drove 50 miles to find a tub of cortaflex because I had run out and we were about to go away for a few days.

Thank you J, I could not do things without you.

Glad your hay is in

I couldn't have horses if hubby didn't help (and recently chauffer). He aint horsey in the slightest, but will do it all bar ride - even willing to learn to lunge the Dizzy one.
