CM, that's fine, it's just if it sits somewhere warm in the summer that it goes really fizzy and horrible.
i have speedibeet and soak it at about 5pm onwards, to use for that evening's feeds and the next morning's feeds, i never do more than 12 hours' worth at a time, can't stand it getting stale, fly-blown and stinky, eww.
Chicomio, I use pelletts, so they need 24 hrs. I am thinking that I need to go back to speedi beet, thick head can probably cope with a 15 minute delay

Aha! I use pellets - but they are small ones so I only need the twelve hours until breakfast and the rest keeps ok, phew!
If you take a handful of soaking pellets from the bucket and squeeze it, then sort of try to squeeze a few individual pellets, you should NOT be able to feel any hardness at all. It should all feel squishy and soft. If there are still hard lumps, it's not properly soaked.
You might want to take a bar of soap and a hand towel for after this exercise he he.
