I have a little 6month filly who I measured today :)
She is standing at 12.1hh. Her mama was 15.3 and her papa 15.2. Do you think she will make the 15.2hh I'm hoping for?
She's hella chunky :D

I did the old wives tale test of knee to coronet measurement it suggested 15.3, but I doubt that.
Of course it doesn't matter what she makes so long as she's healthy but just thought I'd gather opinions :)

I bought a yearling who was 12.2hh and he made 16hands. I've also got a rising 4yr old cob who I bought a year ago at 13.3hh and his front end is 14hhs, he didnt grow at all for 9 months, but the back end is currently nearly 15hhs so you never know!

Wow. That's really interesting! What was the yearling out of height wise? I suppose you get out what you put in too. So I've seen 2yos say, who have been rescued and have grown another hand and a half presumably from having a good diet and grass.
I didn't breed my girly see but I met her mum and dad and the breeder just kept saying that she was going to be a big girl. Her previous sisters have wound up 15.1/2hh and full of bone. But she is apparently the largest they've seen from her mum yet!!
It's all so v exciting! :)
