Good news: Consistently firm poops! Yay! :D Thanks to all who gave advice on the other thread, by the way.

Bad news: She's now nodding lame on a foreleg.

Nothing in the pads, no cuts or thorns, no swelling or heat that I can discern. Doesn't mind me squeezing and pinching the whole leg. What to do, just leave it assuming it's a muscular tweak sort of thing and see how she is tomorrow? Any benefit to applying ice or wrapping it or anything? Then again it could be in the shoulder, I suppose. She was fine on her ten-minute poop walk early this morning with OH.

Obviously she's gone without her big walk this afternoon and instead of bouncing off the walls is just sulking around the house, which is somehow infinitely worse as I know she's fed up - I can hear the mournful huffs and sighs from the top of the stairs... :o

Blooming dogs they are sent to try us! i would like you assume she has twinged pulled something or maybe even just lay funny, if you could pin point roughly where it was i can't imagine ice would do any harm. I tend to keep some arnica tablets in and give them at childrens dosage i am really not sure if or how they work but have always so far found doggy has been better within 24 hours and giving her them makes me feel like i am doing something.
Fingers crossed she is feeling better by this evening.

I'd just rest her and pop her to the vets if it persists - she's still a young female with maturing to do so don't worry about giving her a few off days.

Brain training, hide and seek with toys etc will tire a young dog out as much as physical activity, I know they seem like they can go on forever, but dogs don't always know what is good for them (see also: jumping from the top of an A-frame, eating the packaging of Tesco lambs liver, running head first into a spikey bit of wire fencing :p)

Ice and arnica should help :)

running head first into a spikey bit of wire fencing :p

Speaking of, she ran head-first into my friend's dad's kneecap last weekend - both took a flyer and the *DONK* noise was extraordinary. So not only do they not know when to stop (she was chasing friend's obese labrador) but they are put on this earth to reduce us to grovelling apologetic slaves. :p

Just took her up to the top of the road for a wee on the green and she's much improved, not actually hobbling now, but definitely walking a bit short on the one leg. Here's hoping it's just a daft twinge and she'll be alright tomorrow. :)

I would still definitely rest her for a day or so - def no hooning :p or too much high impact stuff/roadwork.
Also, when my fella was walking short it was actually his back that was giving him jip so it may be something in her spine or shoulder she has tweaked - since he threw himself off the A-frame (Look Mum! I can FLYYYYY!) I've always been a bit careful with him jumping and twisting in mid air for a ball, etc.

Bella actually kebabbed herself the day we got her, first time I have ever had to go to the vets on the first day of ownership, she impaled herself right between the eyes.....
