So went to the show bad arm and all. Due to the arm I hadn't had time to get the correct gear (as you can see) I borrowed some, shall be getting the correct stuff ready for the next time. First time i've shown but I think Spirit looks good!

Came 6th out of around 10. Pleased with him, think I let down the whole picture. Got a nice comment from someone who shows to a higher level who told me he was a lovely stamp of the breed and should be shown at a much higher level as he would be appreciated more. So I have that to bear in mind for the future, I had fun despite being in pain so a good day overall.

Here are some pictures....

He looks fab. :) I hope your arm feels better soon.

^ That is encouraging.

Thanks the arms improving just the pain in the tendons and ligaments but think the infection is slowly going, still feel rough though.

Yes the comments were nice, there is a lot to work on and its all for fun really but nice to know he could do well. I did enter him the small M&M and there were all sorts in it, I think he was the youngest! One came second, a nice grey, but hadnt even had a bath! Dont know much about showing but I thought turnout was a factor.

Anyway very pleased that he managed to behave, stand up nicely and I didn't trip over. Looking forward to getting the correct, and well fitting gear ready to try a class for his breed and maybe a county show! (get me)

Also the 4 year old WB who was off due to 'growing pains' has started lunge work and is going well! Excited for the manage to be complete so I can get showjumping again.

Thank you, he is only three and I am not going down the 'fat pony' for showing route. I think he is rather smart, shame about me ;)

Brilliant! I think he looks great for a 3 year old, I find it so upsetting to see any horse wobbling round a show ring, but some of the youngsters I've seen this year have been awful! :)

Yes there were some right sights today and standing next to them did make mine weeney, but I think hes just about right, could do with some top line but lunging will help him work that up, not feeding!

Maybe always having showjumpers has helped me keep horses correct. I hate fat horses :( Talking of fat horses my mare is a bit 'chubby', shes on a small field and going in foal sometime over the next few weeks! She will only get bigger fingers crossed (baby not fat ;) )
