It looks as if I am going to have to send my 4 year old WBxTB away to be backed and ridden away, as I we dont have the facilities and I cant find anywhere close enough to rent [affordable] facilities myself. If we had a decent sized arena I'd have done her myself, but I don't fancy having to jump on and school her around the lanes - without working her in a menage first. Plus, she's gown bigger than I'd expected and only being 5'1" myself it's hard to do everything with her by myself. I really need a second pair of hands.

Could anyone recommend anyone who could do a good job of backing her for me? We're near Axminster/Lyme Regis/Honiton areas.

Suggestions very welcome :)

isn't HenryHorn down that way? definitely worth a call imho. i have contact deets if you can't get her on here, afaik she doesn't come on much any more.

Yes, she is near our neck of the woods. I'll PM her and keep my fingers crossed.

Upton Pyne Equestrian Centre advertise backing and schooling livery. Anyone know of them or used them before? Can't really find many places advertising online and would really prefer a recommendation over plucking a number out of the phone book :)

old YO was always very good breaking youngsters, never advertises just word of mouth. I know one groom is currently off with broken arm so not sure if she is taking anything in for breaking at the moment but may be worth a call. She is based near Cullompton

As for upton pyne only ever been there previously for competitions but seemed a good set up and nice people. :)

Also def contact HH as her daughter is now backing horses for a living now back home so may well be perfect :)
