ok, ive recently purchased a 3yr TB exracer - not long been of the track - so far shes been soo good bless her, was wondering if anyone had any useful advice though, shes obviously not used to leg aids etc, so i was wondering if im doing the right thing, im just doing alot of repetetive things, walk to halt transitions, keeping it basic and a bit of hacking, shes not worked much, has plenty of days off too, and as for turning i use my rein as well as my seat and legs aids in hope she will understand the leg aid, is this right??

shes very laid back, and takes a while to listen to the aids, once in the gait should i leave her alone, or keep urging her forward, for an exracer she is very laid back, and barely moves, will the come with balance and time ??(naturallY)

she will come in time. dont keep at her, i mean kicking her constantly because u dont want her dead to leg. because she is a three year old i would consider doing more long rein work with her because that emcourages them to walk to.

oh ye forgot to say she is also long r eined - shes not realy very good at lunging so leaning towards the long reining when on the ground - will carry on with this.

thankyou
