Hi, I have a rising 3 youngster who is believed to be by cavalier jump for joy or two for joy? I can't remember which! Unfortunately his breeding isn't on his passport :( I did however meet his dam when I bought him last summer who looked to be a tb x maybe section d or similar, she stood at around 14.2 and my boy when I bought him had just passed her in height! He is now standing at 15.2/3 at the withers but quite a bit taller behind, very obviously 'bum high' I was wondering does anybody else know anything about this stallion and if he is know to breed bigger?? Final height estimations also much appreciated! Thanks!!

I do have pictures, and I post them as soon as I work out how too! Think I may have to do it from the computer and not my phone! Is your mare coloured? Mines bright bay! I went with the intention of getting a coloured but instead came away with the only solid colour horse they had on the yard! Lol!

these methods both seem to be pretty accurate at determining finished growth height :). Tested on 4 of my fully grown horses for accuracy (various breeding and heights), and then used on my 2 1/2yo WB filly to try and predict her finished height - a rather whopping 18hh apparently ! It does make sense as she is 17hh 1/2 an inch atm.

I'm going to try this tomorrow! Somehow I don't think he will be turning into a 18hh giant ;) anytime soon but I think he will still have a fair amount to grow! (also is it just me or are horses getting bigger 18hh seems to be the new 16.2!!)

:). haha I hope so :p. DR riders certainly often seem to have a penchant for large WBs, she moves nicely so if she doesn't take to eventing with me I'll hopefully find her a dressage home :D. Im hoping she will sneak into the 17hh range though as I think 18hh may be a bit too much of a giantess! It is really amazing watching them grow :) Ive started a monthly chart with my filly's height measurements and will be interesting to see how close to prediction she ends up as. Let me know how big it reckons your lad will be :D
