I need some guidance about my youngsters, I have 2, 2 year old Warmbloods that are currently out 24/7 they get fed twice a day and ad lib hay, but they still have there ribs sightly showing, there not tucked up or drawn in just ribby. There not wormy as I had them worm counted last week and there was <50 in each sample and no eggs seen, and I pooh pick my field 2 times a week.

Is this normal when there growing??

I hope someone can advise as I feel like I'm letting them down.

Don't worry about their weight at this age, it is best that they don't carry too much as it isn't good for their growing limbs and joints. They will start to look better next year when they are 3yrs. As long as they are getting minerals and vits to support the growth don't worry.

Few yes they get vitamin and mineral supplement twice a day and garlic. My farrier came up today and said my horses feet were the best feet he has trimmed for months so must be doing something right.

Thank you for the advice Ive never owned a 2yo before and was beating myself up about it.
