Youngster Livery Contacts??

Hi there I am looking at buying a foal or yearling and wanted some contacts if possible within a 2 hour radias of London?

I am open to the youngster living out as long as they live in a small herd, regularly handled, rugged in winter, with feed, good ground etc.

Or in a barn with a few others at night but can go out in the field in the day.

I am also happy to put the youngster at not a professional livery yard ie someone that might have a couple of youngsters themselves and happy for more company - and of course I would pay them.

If you have any contacts, I would appreciate that and maybe you could pm me. I would also be interested in your thoughts on keeping youngstock out through winter in small herds (with regular checking and feed/shelter).

Try Sally Lister at Brackenspa Stud. 10 miles from Stamford, so should meet your 2 hour radius requirement.
I bred my youngster there and he was there for 18 months living out in a herd in a very natural environment. First winter was spent in a crew yard with shelter and he did really well there. Standard of care and feed is excellent, would highly recommend.
