I have a lovely gelding who will be 2 in July. He had a terrible start in life but is now fighting fit and as hoped, is a real character.
From the age of 2, what do you advise as my two year plan?
Due to his poor start he has been taken very slowly, he is well handled, but still cautious. Aside from TLC, treatment, and good grazing, he is right at the start. Your advice much appreciate.
Long term he will remain one of the family, he is a lightweight hunter build, and moves well. Keeping everything crossed he'll get to the 15.1/15.2hh mark.

TBH, as long as he is good to handle, both by yourselves or for the vet and farrier, I would leave him alone and let him stay in the field playing and growing at his own speed. Too many do too much too young and if you can bear to resist from doing too much, it will be to his benefit in the long run. I say nothing about a small bit of in hand showing, a couple of shows a year should be ample and the preparation for them but I certainly wouldn't do too much else.
