Youngsters muzzling...

5yr olds sheath. I turned 5yr old out after the farrier and the 3yr olds came over to see him, he started to play with one of the 3yr olds and when they stopped both 3yr olds one each side started to muzzle and lick his sheath (the out side, he didn't have anything hanging out). I told them to stop and they did and came over with me to get their hay.
That can't be normal, why would they do it?

Oh dear I hope not. 5yr old is a bit of a ladies man. He's in love with me

Though the grey 3yr old is in love with the 2yr old. All of them are geldings BTW.
