How do you field proof your fields against youngsters?

Willow has always got out somehow so we put her in with one of the other liveries horses whilst her youngster was off been backed but now she's back and isn't the nicest in the field so we put Willow back in with ours and we moved ours around the back of the farm.

She had been ok recently but this morning was in the otherside of the field - this wouldn't be a problem but the farmer is harvesting so leaves the top field gate open to bring the machinery in and out.

The field is electric taped (1 strip) with 2 lots of electric wire (top and bottom strand) and is connected to the mains electric so it's not like the battery is running out.

I'm slowly running out of ideas bar keeping her in 24/7 which is totally unfair on her.

I just don't want her getting hurt None of the others get out the field, just Asbo (as she's been nicknamed).

Do you know if she is getting through or over the electric fence?

If it's through you can up the zap by adding wire or tape between the live lines, don't connect to other tape or fencer but do attach to earth

When a live and earth wire is touched at the same time the zap is worse than a live line alone

Some days she goes through, well pulls the middle strand down and getting through, other days she goes over.

Will get some extra lines in though
