A sort of odd question, but my boss's tack room is rather inadequate IMO and I need to make sure we have all we need... what would you consider to be essential pieces of equipment/tack for a dressage yard that buys and sells horses? The main problem I am having (other than the saddles, all Wintecs and none fit but not much can be done about that) is the bitting. We have a shed load of single joined loose rings, a couple of straight bar full cheek happy mouths, and a couple of French link/lozenge loose rings. The horses are all very sensitive Spanish ones and need careful bitting - up until now the policy seems to have been to stick in whatever fits width-wise.
What would you consider essential equipment/tack for a dealing business? What could you just generally not live without?
Please bear in mind any suggestions MUST be BD legal!

I don't know anything about bitting Spanish horses in particular, but i like full-cheek bits with either single link or middle lozenge (sprenger etc), or full-cheek myler 02 (comfort mouthpiece, dr legal) with drop noseband or cavesson noseband.
Really comfy girths, white bandages (!!), and the saddles should be the most important thing tbh... they're your "keyboard" to communicate with the horse, after all, so i'd be nagging for at least 1 really super saddle, comfy for the horses.

Coming form a yard os spanish, some nice nue schule lozenge/fench link bits . Some with small loose rings , some with fulmers. Also some ported pelhams and a couple of dutch gags for hacking in.

Saddles , some riser pads and sheep skin numnahs as has already been suggested to help you adjust fit more.

grab straps are always good to!

Have worked in dealing yards for about 10 years (showjumping though), have always had KK sprenger losenge bit and the KK non jointed bit. A double bridle, loose ring snaffles inc some with a thinner mouth piece. Gel pads for under saddles since you can't buy a saddle for each horse coming in and a proper lunging kit! Radox also comes in handy for the jockey after all those "quiet" 3 yrs olds that turn out to be maniacs! :-)

Bandages/sports boots.
Over reach boots - dont all dressage horses wear these??
Plenty of clean numnahs/saddle pads
Front and rear raisers to go under the saddles that dont fit.
Lunge equipment
Neck straps
