Although I'd love to see a 'niggler' get on Andy he'd soon be in the next county. Sadly I get loads of people asking to ride him and I just dread to see what would happen. I can't stand people who lie about their ability.

My friend was selling her horse, an absolute gem, she had someone come over who wanted to do some show jumping with him. She hadn't even learned to jump yet

F varies between being really off the leg to dead to the leg, So when buyers turn up it depends what mood he is in when buyers turn up.

A MASSIVE lady came once though. I'm no lightweight myself but this lady was big. She wanted F to jump and do XC with, F is a 14,3 arab cross

I do wonder if people just go about riding horses that are for sale just for a free ride, i mean honestly
I was very honest about my ability when i looked at my boy, told them i hadnt ridden properly since my last one was pts a year before, they where great and true to her word the horse was a gem. Mind you she was a dealer so had prob seen it all and a lot worse than me :o :D

It would save everyone a lot of time if people where honest about their ability! :)

Definitely agree, I'm seeing a horse on Saturday and I've been totally honest. Told them that I took 3 years out of riding to focus on college and I just started to get back into it properly December last year. They were totally fine with it, much better than me saying I was an absolutely fantastic rider, could ride anything because it's absolutely not true. That in itself is a waste of time IMO.

I was going to loan my horse but have had so many timewasters I have removed advert. Now his advert said he is 18.1, needs experienced rider. I get people turn up thinking he should be 16.2!! Then he is too big. Luckily I manage to weed most of the novices out on the phone before they even get to the yard. I am not looking forward to advertising him again but I think I am going to have to. Oh well fingers crossed and wish me luck.

And then when you are honest (dh is a nervous rider so never bigs up his riding for fear of being over horsed, and always tells sellers he is nervous) they look amazed and say things like "oh you can actually ride then......."
