Hi,
Just wondering what breed of horse you all would have if you could?

I'm afraid I am a sucker for the Irish

Give me an Irish Thoroughbred, Irish sport horse, Irish draught, IDx TB......
Been to see a ISH tonight who I completely fell in love with.

Same here with Irish...
Rode a hanoverian 5yr old we are loaning and just found him a bit..slow? Although this may not be true of all of them.

Appaloosa, we have two and they are wonderful. One is in her thirties and now retired and the other is eleven and truely wonderful. They are both very affectionate, loyal and inteligent.

What good taste you have

My last horse was a Hanoverian x TB and she was a few sandwiches short of a picnic

Absolutely stunning to look at, but she would have these 'fazed over' moments where it was almost as though the lights are on but there's no-one home

But OMG could she jump and she loved it

I think it would have to be ISH, they are kind hearted, laid back and willing from the ID with just enough get up and go and scope from the TB. Lillie was a KWPN and although she was lovely and amazing talented she was typical dutch- she gave what she wanted, how she wanted and when she wanted and if it did'nt suit she did'nt co-operate. My first choice now would always be ISH, but I would'nt discount any horse on its breeding if it did the job I wanted

I like TBs personally. ID x TB would be good if not too heavy and I also think that TB x natives make really good all rounders.

I think arabs are stunning to look at but wouldnt want one myself- dont know why really!!! Ive only ever ridden one! Perhaps that is what put me off!!!

My favourite breeds are Welshies, New Forests, Highlands, Gelderlanders, Appaloosa's, Hanovarians & Andalusians. If I had to pick I'd have either a NF x Appaloosa or Hanovarian that was either blanket spotted or black in colour and about 15hh
