Hi
Wondered if anyone can recommend their fave long black boots or chaps/jod boots. Budget is under £200. Am a uk6 wide calf and currently have some just togs leather rear zip with velcro strap. They are unconfortable, havent worn well even though I treat them and clean them regularly, and the grips on the soles are rubbish. We'll be doing BSJA and some XC/hunteri trials ( I borrow my friends 'posh' boots for dressage) and would like anyones favourites. In the yard I wear harry hall cayenne they are amazing with a great tread..

i've just bought some Hunter Hamilton leather boots, Hunter are now bust so i got a good deal on them. £75 i think, smart enough to compete in and comfortable enough to walk the dog/walk around shows in. Lovely leather lining in them too.
Because Hunter are going bust, these were the end of the line item so you'll have to look around quick to get them. I got mine from the local Chandlers. I have a slightly wider calf than normal fits too.

I have DMS leather gaiters (love them) and Shires Leather Woodstock jodhpur boots, which are really comfy and good value. Tredstep boots and gaiters are super though, and within you're budget too!

Love my Tuffa Norfolks - got them for Xmas, very soft leather (but not shiny), warm, very comfortable and easy to get on with a zip at the side. Paid £100 from an internet shop.

I looked everywhere for a pair of leather boots that were comfy, I tried the mountain horse high caliber ones (I think) the ones with the funny grip thing they were really comfy and looked nice but the grip thing put me off, so in the end I brought a pair of ariats and sergio grasso gaiters which I love and could wear all day as super comfy

Hi, I got mine from Ebay. Bargain. They are the Brogini Italian leather, I think. They have the zip up the back with the laces on the front. They look lovely, but I have a blister from Sunday.

I've got Dublin long boots which are ok, but I prefer riding in my Ariat boots and English Leather Company gaiters, more give in the ankle.

Ariat Heritage boots retail at around £70/80 combined with Sergio Grassio gaiters for around £90. Very smart and very comfy.
